Payroll

CTC to payslip, with the statute built in.

Structures solved from CTC, a guard that won't pay on missing attendance, statutory lines as versioned rules, and the files you upload.

We set up every workspace with you, a few at a time, so your first payroll run is right. No card needed.

A paid payroll register: each employee's gross pay, the statutory deductions on the line (PF, ESI, professional tax, LWF, TDS) and net pay.

What payroll does.

Won't run on missing attendance.

Before a run, GrowthPPL checks the period's attendance for everyone paid by the day or hour, and names each person and the days missing. Fix them, or the run is refused.

The guard covers day- and hour-paid staff; monthly salaries are paid from the month.

The payroll guard: the run would be refused, with each employee missing attendance and the days missing.

Structures built from CTC.

Set basic as a share of CTC, the allowances as shares or fixed amounts, and one balancing special allowance; GrowthPPL solves it so gross plus employer contributions equals CTC. Gratuity can sit inside CTC.

A bulk salary sheet.

Download a spreadsheet with live formulas, edit it, upload it. The server works every row out again itself and shows each change against today's figure before anything applies, and you can undo a whole upload until a pay run uses it.

Up to 1,000 people per upload. Once a pay run has used an upload, change that pay by hand instead.

Salary sheet preview: each uploaded change shown against the current figure before anything is applied.

Payslips frozen on approval.

Pick a payslip layout for the workspace or each company. The payslip freezes when the run is approved, and the PAN prints masked by default.

  • Indian statutory lines as versioned rules.

PF, EPS and EDLI, ESI, professional tax in every state that levies it, LWF and TDS for tax year 2026-27, each rule with its version and checked date.

  • The files, generated for you to upload.

The PF ECR, ESI and PT returns, the Form 138 annexure (24Q before 2026-27), Form 130 Part B figures (Form 16 before 2026-27) and bank advice. You upload them to the portals.

  • Off-cycle runs and maker-checker approval.

Pay a bonus or a correction outside the month, and require that a run is approved by someone other than the person who prepared it.

Maker-checker is a setting you switch on. Off-cycle runs compute no deductions.

  • Advances, arrears and revisions.

Salary advances are recovered after statutory deductions without taking net pay below zero. A back-dated raise becomes arrears on the next run, and a future-dated revision waits for its date.

  • Pay variance, worked out, not guessed.

Each person's change from last month is explained line by line by rules, not by a model.

  • A group view across your companies.

Each run covers one legal entity. The group view adds the companies' latest runs together at exchange rates the owner states, shown with their date.

No market rate is fetched; a company without a stated rate is left out and named.
